11/06/2006 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Atlanta Thrashers try to push their latest winning streak to three games tonight when they host the Boston Bruins at Philips Arena.

On Saturday, Marian Hossa continued his torrid start to the season with a goal and an assist to lead the Thrashers to a 4-1 victory over the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum.

Johan Hedberg, who made his second straight start in place of a slumping Kari Lehtonen, made 23 saves for the Thrashers, who had lost two straight games before the current spurt.

Hossa netted his 12th goal of the season, which ties him with Brendan Shanahan for the NHL lead. His 21 points are two behind Jaromir Jagr for the league's top mark.

Lehtonen has been tagged for four goals in each of his last three outings, and the one before that he was hit for five tallies.

Atlanta, which holds a seven-point lead in the Southeast Division, begins a three-game home set tonight and will host Ottawa on Wednesday.

Boston, meanwhile, has won two of its last three contests. On Saturday, Glen Murray scored the game-winning goal 17 seconds into the overtime period after Zdeno Chara tied the score in the final minute of regulation, as the Bruins wrapped up a lengthy homestand with a 6-5 victory over Tampa Bay at TD Banknorth Garden.

The game included a whacky second period that saw the teams combine for seven goals -- Tampa 4 and Boston 3.

Marc Savard had two goals and two assists for the Bruins. P.J. Axelsson had a goal and an assist, and rookie Phil Kessel added a score.

Murray netted his team-leading sixth goal of the season, while Savard, who will face his old club, tops the B's with 15 points.

Boston will host Toronto on Thursday.

Atlanta defeated Boston, 4-1, on October 11 at Philips Arena and has won three consecutive meetings.
