04/19/2007 - Minneapolis, MN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Pau Gasol scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the NBA's worst team, the Memphis Grizzlies, ended the season on a positive note with a 116-94 rout of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Tarence Kinsey scored 22 points, ripped down nine boards, and doled out seven assists for the Grizzlies (22-60), who won a season-best three straight to close their 2006-07 campaign. Hakim Warrick finished with 18 points and seven boards, and Dahntay Jones had 16 points and seven boards for Memphis.

"It was very frustrating and disappointing in many ways," said Gasol of the season, "but it's done now, and we've got to learn from it."

Randy Foye finished with 26 points, eight rebounds, and six assists for the T- Wolves (32-50), who finished their disappointing season with seven straight losses. Ricky Davis had 23 points, six boards and six assists, and Craig Smith had 11 points and 13 boards.

"Clearly we're all being evaluated, from players, to management, to coaches, and we can all improve," said Minnesota's Mark Madsen.

The Grizzlies pulled away in the third quarter. A Smith jumper brought Minnesota to within 62-57 with 9:12 left, but the Grizzlies answered with six straight points, part of a 19-6 run that effectively put the game away. Chucky Atkins capped the stretch with a three-pointer that put Memphis up 81-63 with 3:04 left.

The Wolves never threatened down the stretch, as the Grizzlies coasted to just their eighth road win of the season. Memphis finishes the year an NBA-worst 8-33 record away from home.

The teams played to a 27-27 tie after one quarter of play, and a last-second Mike James trey put Minnesota ahead 54-51 at the break.

Kurt Warner to start, Matt Leinart to watch

Despite the debate that's swirling , Kurt Warner will remain the starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, coach Dennis Green said today. The Arizona Cardinals are the +7 point underdog at online sportsbook MySportsbook.com for this Sunday's game.

Green's comment came in a statement released by the team following an ESPN report that Green decided that rookie Matt Leinart would replace Warner as starter for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

"Generally talking about the starting lineup is not something we do," Green told the AP. "However, given the speculation that was out there we want to make it clear. We're disappointed after last week, but we still expect to be a playoff football team and we fully expect Kurt Warner to be the quarterback that leads us. That has not changed."
